Kercha Haruse - Kercha, Guji Zone - Natural Process Ethiopia
This Natural lot comes from Kercha Town, in the Guji coffee-growing area of southern Ethiopia, and was produced by a privately owned station, who sources coffees from 1500 Guji farmers. This Haruse lot makes up some of the highest quality coffees from these producers and the cup quality is evident,
This coffee is exceptional both in its flavor profile and processing. This natural processed coffee often takes on facets of washed process, with bright and citric clear, crisp fruit characteristics like citrus and berry notes but has the body and sweetness that a natural profile provides.
I taste:
Amped up florals and berries on the aroma that lead into juicy mandarin citric sweetness and acidity. This begins to evolve into fresh berries, softened with perfumey jasmine and purple florals. As the cup cools it becomes mellow in intensity and sweet, like figs and banana.
