Dwight Aguilar - Nueva Alianza Yellow Gesha

Another beautiful Cusco from Cusco, Peru.

Nueva Alianza has absolutely taken over this year and this yellow gesha is no exception. It is held in cherry for 24 hours, then dry fermented for 36 hours. This leads to an explosion of flavor, a beautiful combination of expert processing and terroir. 

We taste:
Magnolia, lilac, and jasmine burst from the cup complimented by sweeter yellow florals of marigold and chamomile. Sweetness presents as vanilla syrup and honeysuckle with persistent korean pear and honeycrisp apple. As it cools, the acidity and sweetness blend beautifully into nectarine, yellow peach and kiwi.
